- 이주배경 청년의 코로나 19 스트레스, 취업장벽이 정신건강에 미치는 영향 -
본 연구는 만 25세부터 만 34세까지의 이주배경 청년을 대상으로 코로나 스트레스, 취업장벽과 정신건강의 관계를 탐색하였다. 한국갤럽연구소를 통해 횡단적 설문조사 방식을 활용하여 자료를 수집했는데, 국내출생과 중도입국 청년을 포함한 300명의 이 주배경 청년이 설문에 응답하였으며, 수집된 자료를 가지고 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 사 용하여 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 조절효과를 검증하였다. 분석 결과 코로나 19 스트레 스, 취업장벽은 정신건강의 어려움을 정적으로 예측하였고, 이주배경의 조절효과가 확 인되었다. 구체적으로 국내출생 이주청년들에 비해 중도입국 이주청년들은 취업장벽 을 높게 경험할수록 정신적 어려움이 급격히 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 이 러한 결과를 바탕으로 이주배경 청년들의 정신건강 어려움 완화를 위한 심리상담 서비 스의 필요성에 대해 논의하고, 이주배경에 따른 보다 세밀화된 개입과 진로 및 취업 프 로그램, 사회제도 마련에 대해 도움을 주고자 한 점에서 함의가 있다.
Relationship between COVID-19 Stress, Employment Barrier and Mental Health among Immigrant Youth
This study explored the relationship between COVID-19 stress, employment barriers and mental health for migrant background youth aged 25 to 34. The participants are 300 immigrant youths with mixed parentage(native Korean and immigrant dyad), including both native-born and foreign-born youths, After controlling demographic variables, the relationship between COVID-19 stress, employment barriers, and mental health was examined. The moderating effect was verified through hierarchical regression analysis to find out whether the relationship between employment barrier and mental health differs according to the migration background. As a result of the analysis, COVID-19 stress and employment barriers significantly predicted mental health. Also, the moderating effect of migration background was found. Specifically, the results indicated that the higher employment barrier for foreign-born youths, the more rapidly their mental difficulties increase comparing to native-born youths. Based on these results, career education and employment programs according to the migration background, and preparation of social system were discussed.
