This study aims to investigate the condition of depression and associated factors affecting depression among international students in South Korea. To do so, this study carried out a survey on individuals who were enrolled as full-time students in higher education. The results suggest that both Chinese and Vietnamese students were identified as having probable depression. It also indicates that subjective health status and international students’ experiences of discrimination are the significant variables of depression, despite differences in the presence and effect of certain factors on nationality. Only for Chinese students, social support and students’ satisfaction are identified the factors that affect the depression. Finally, implications are drawn from the findings.
